Motorola is finally going to take off the curtains from this hyped phone. The Razr name is making a comeback and according to the leaks, Motorola will be trying to bring back nostalgia with its latest flagship offering. The Razr is going to be unveiled at an event in Los Angeles today and we could finally be seeing a more useful use-case for the folding display to make the phone more practical in 2019.

Motorola has so far sent out invites showing the old Razr being peeled away to show the new one in silhouette. And in the teaser, Motorola did show the hinge that houses the folding mechanism. However, the leaks have shown the device inside out through official renders. And more than the renders, we even know what's going to power the Moto Razr.
Hence, while Motorola may have a grand launch event for the device in Los Angeles today, there's everything out on the web about the device and if you are interested in it, read on.

2019 Moto Razr: What to expect today
--The new Moto Razr will have the same flip phone form factor of the original model from the last decade. Motorola is using a folding display to achieve that and like the original, there will be a secondary display for showing notifications and assisting with taking selfies.

--The main display is said to measure 6.3-inches and will have 876 x 2142 pixel resolution. The display will bend from the middle, thereby allowing or the flip phone form factor. There will be a notch on the top housing the camera and an earpiece whereas the bottom will have a bulky chin most possibly to accommodate the battery.

--The second display on the outside will be smaller with a resolution of 600 x 800 pixels. However, the size is still unknown and from the leaked renders, it appears that the Razr will show notifications on this one. And it might also act as a viewfinder while taking selfies or a display for conducting video calls.

--The 2019 Razr is said to rely on the slightly dated Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset which will be paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. These aren't flagship-grade specifications but the benefit to this could be a much lower price than an existing folding smartphone in the market. And of course, it will use Android as its operating system.

--The Razr will have multiple cameras like any other folding phone. There will be a single main camera at the back for taking photos like any other smartphone. On the inside, there will be another camera for taking video calls and selfies. Another camera will at the front for takings selfies and doing video calls.

--The 2019 Razr will be powered by a 2730mAh battery, which doesn't sound much on paper but it could more than enough for the Razr to offer an entire day's charge. If the Galaxy Fold with its generic 4380mAh battery can deliver close to two days of battery life, the Razr could also deliver something similar, given it power efficient chipset and low-res display.

--Most importantly, the Moto 2019 Razr is rumored to start from $1,500, which could make it the cheapest the folding smartphone.
